Eve: Studying, have a ton to do tonight so I’m going to be holed up here all night long

Brahm: oh, ok. I’ll see you tomorrow?

  Eve: of course

A knock on my door sends me scrambling. I still haven’t decided what to wear yet.

  “Come in,” I call out.

Asher opens the door and strolls in.

“Planning on going to a party in your pajamas?” Asher asks with a smirk, as his eyes travel over my bare legs and land on my ratty pajama shorts and then up to my tank top. “Not that you don’t look fantastic.”

“Do you want to sit down for a second while I run to the bathroom and then decide what to wear?”

Asher settles himself onto my bed without complaint.

When I return from the bathroom I find Asher looking at my notebook with a cat that ate the canary look on his face.

“Hey, who said you could read my stuff?”

“Sorry, it was just sitting open and I couldn’t help myself. This list is a good start, but I think you can do better. And, why the jump from a kiss to losing your virginity? You know Angel, there’s a wide world of pleasure out there in between those steps.”

“I know,” I snap. Kind of. I mean, I’m aware of the existence of steps between kissing and sex, I just don’t know much about the specifics.

Asher grabs a pen off my night stand and starts to add to my list.

“Hey,” I try to snatch the notebook from him but he holds it out of my reach.

“Relax Angel, I’m just adding a few suggestions, you don’t have to actually do any of them if you don’t want.”

Once he’s finished he hands me the list for my perusal.

  8. receive oral

  9. get a piercing

  10. do a keg stand

  11. flash a crowd

  12. have sex in a semi-public place

“I can’t do any of these things,” I say before stuffing the list into my purse.

“Like I said, they’re suggestions,” Asher replies with a shrug.

I roll my eyes at him and toss the notebook back onto my nightstand, trying to ignore the heat creeping into my skin from his suggestions. Numbers eight and twelve especially have images in my mind that don't belong there. Namely, Asher with his head between my legs or pinning me against a wall in a public bathroom.

“What's got your cheeks such a lovely shade of pink, Angel?” He teases, tugging his lip ring between his teeth.

“Nothing.” I turn to my dresser and pull out a blue maxi dress to wear to the party. “Do you want to go wait outside so I can change?”

Asher gives me a devilish smirk and settles further into my bed.

  “Nah, I'm pretty comfortable.”

I purse my lips and do my best to glare instead of blush again. My glare must not be as scary as I was hoping because he starts to laugh at me.

“I've never seen you blush so deep before, now you have to do it. Come on, something easy to cross off your list.”

“I'm not going to strip naked in front of you.”

“I'll close my eyes,” he suggests.

This feels absolutely scandalous, and for some reason it sends a thrill of excitement through me.

  “Close your eyes,” I command.

Asher smirks at me and the naughty little thrill intensifies as I wonder if he’s going to peek. I strip my clothes off quickly and then pull the dress over my head.

“Okay, you can open your eyes.”

  “Nice underwear,” Asher jokes.

I give him a teasing smile.

“Now I know that you didn’t peek, because I’m not wearing any underwear.”

Asher’s eyes go wide and he inhales sharply. I can’t help the smile that spreads across my lips.

“I hope that’s a joke.” His voice is a little shaky and my skin feels hot as I imagine what it would be like to let him find out for himself.

I shrug and smirk at him again.

“You’ll have to spend the rest of your life wondering.”

“You are a devil woman,” he says, tugging his lip ring between his teeth again, drawing my eyes to it.

I lick my lips, dying to know what it’s like to kiss him. It honestly seems like a crime womanhood to not find out.

  “We should go.”

“Yeah,” I agree weakly, pulling my gaze from his lips.

  Asher

Goddammit all I can think about is whether Eve is wearing underwear or not. It’s a question my dick is extremely interested in and therefore I’ve got a hard-on that just won’t quit. Her dress clings to her curves in the most enticing way and I just keep reminding myself she has a boyfriend. And, aside from that, she’s too good for me. Way, way too good for me.

The party is loud and rowdy and Eve looks both excited and terrified.

“Don’t ditch me, okay?” She asks desperately.

“Why would I ditch you? I’m the one who invited you to come with me.”

“I don’t know, Hadley ditched me for a hook up like five minutes after we got to the party the day before classes started,” She explains with a shrug. “I wasn’t sure if you would want to find a hook-up too.”

The thought of touching anyone but Eve at this moment has a nauseating feeling rumbling through my stomach.

“Come on, I’ll teach you to play beer pong. Maybe we can cross getting drunk off your list too,” I offer, gesturing toward the ping pong table set up with cups of beer all ready to go.

“My first drinking game, this is so exciting!” Her enthusiasm makes me laugh.

I place my hand on the small of her back and guide her towards the table, reveling in the feel of even the slightest contact with her.

In no time at all Eve is a pro at beer pong and is also starting to get pretty drunk.

“I need to go to the bathroom,” She says close to my ear so I can hear her over the noise of the party. Her words slightly slurred but her hot breath against my ear almost makes me moan.

“I’ll go with you,” I offer when I see her stumble as she turns to leave.

She waves me off, catching herself.

“I’m a big girl, I think I can go pee all by myself,” She assures me. “I’ll be right back.”

I watch as she disappears. No sooner is she gone than two bottle blondes attach themselves to me.

“Oh my gosh, I loooove your tattoo,” blonde number one coo's in a nasal voice that makes me cringe.

“I like your piercing. Do you have anything else pierced?” Blonde number two asks seductively, placing a hand on my chest and gazing up at me.

“Sorry ladies but I’m here with someone.” It’s not really a lie.

“Oh come on, we can show you a good time,” Blonde number one insists.

“Have you ever been with two girls at once?” Blonde number two asks.

I have, and it was pretty fucking cool, but not something I’m looking to repeat. Fuck my life, but the only girl I can think about lately is Eve. As if summoned by my thoughts Eve appears and looks between the blondes and myself with a small frown forming on her lips.

“Again, thanks but I’m not interested,” I reiterate, disentangling from them and making my way to Eve.

  She smiles weakly.

“I shouldn’t have made you promise to stay with me. I want you to have a good time. Go with those girls I can walk home,” Eve says, a hint of sadness in her voice.

“Nah, I’m having a good time with you,” I assure her.

She looks skeptically at me, and then glances back at the girls still watching me from the beer pong table.

“Are you sure? I’m not trying to...what’s it called?...’C’ block you,” Eve says with a blush.

I burst out laughing at the way she says ‘c’ block.

“You are too funny, Angel.” I throw an arm over her shoulder and steer her towards the door. “Let’s get out of here.”

“You’re taking me home already?” Her face falls with disappointment.

  Hope bl
ooms in my chest, but I do my best to beat it down.

“Unless you want to come to my place. We can hang out,” I offer.

Eve’s eyes light up with a smile and it’s all I can do not to kiss the shit out of her.

Once we get to my place we make ourselves comfortable on the couch in the living room and I put on Breaking Bad, since she seemed to be getting into it last time. She leans her head against my shoulder and I tentatively put my arm around her to help her get comfortable. I hope to hell that Dex doesn’t show up and catch me with the exact girl he was made to warn me away from two weeks ago.

“This feels nice,” She murmurs sleepily.

A warmth spreads through my veins. I could sit like this with her forever. Oh man, if this keeps up I’m going to have to turn in my man card. She starts to snore quietly and I glance down to see her passed out against my chest. Totally worth it.

  Chapter 7

  Eve

Brahm and I attend church group on Sunday afternoon. I find myself fidgety and disinterested the entire time. The topic of discussion for the day is morals and how we can only be good by following the word of god. I squirm uncomfortably in my seat and Brahm reaches over and places his hand on mine and gives me a stern look.

  “Sorry,” I whisper.

After group Brahm and a few other students decide to go for coffee, I politely decline, mainly because these people with their fake friendliness are irritating me. They’re all a bit like Stepford wives instead of real people. I mean, just because you love Jesus doesn’t mean you can’t complain about things once in awhile. I reach into my purse to check my phone, secretly hoping for a text from Asher, when I accidentally plow headlong into a hard body.

“Whoa, you okay Angel?” My head whips up and my eyes widen with shock as I take in Asher, standing on the steps of the church.

“Are you lost? You do realize you’re about to walk into a church right?” I ask teasingly, but also genuinely confused as to what a staunch non-believer like Asher would be doing entering a church.

“You caught me, I’m a closet bible thumper,” He confesses with a playful wink.

I shake my head and smile.

  “Why are you really here?”

  “Come on, I’ll show you.”

He grabs my arm gently and steers me back inside. He leads me down to the basement where bible group is held, but then leads me down another hallway to a kitchen that I hadn’t realized was there.

“What are we doing in the kitchen?” I ask as he starts to pull out pots, several large boxes of spaghetti noodles, and a ladle.

“Don’t just stand there Angel, there are going to be a bunch of hungry people here in an hour. And, if we don’t have food for them there’s no telling what they’ll do.”

A plump, middle aged woman enters as well and gives Asher a warm smile.

“There’s my favorite volunteer,” She greets him with a tight hug.

“You volunteer for a soup kitchen?” I ask incredulously.

“Yeah, now are you going to get the sauce going or what?”

An hour later we’re serving up spaghetti and garlic bread to a basement full of people. Most of them know Asher well and he seems to love having personal conversations with each of them.

“Hey, Asher.” A scrawny girl who appears to be about thirteen greets him with a reverent smile.

  “Lucy, how’s school?”

“Good, I’m getting almost all A’s right now,” She announces proudly as Asher fills her plate with pasta.

“Excellent. And, don’t forget, if you ever need help in math you know who to come to,” He reminds her with a wink.

She rolls her eyes and looks over at me.

“Hi, I haven’t met you before,” She says with a kind smile. “I’m Lucy.”

  “Hi, I’m Eve. I’m a friend of Asher’s,” I introduce myself.

“Wow, I didn’t know Asher had friends,” She teases Asher.

“Hey, Lucy, why does Snoop Dogg carry an umbrella?” Asher sets up the joke.

“Fo’ drizzle,” Lucy steals his punchline.

“So you’ve heard that one? I’ll have to try again next week.”

Lucy takes her food and goes to sit by a middle aged man who seems to be her father.

“I can’t believe that you come here every week and do this,” I say in complete awe of him.

If I didn’t have an embarrassing crush on the tattooed not-so-bad boy before, I definitely have one now. Asher shrugs like it’s no big deal.

“My mom died when I was a baby, and money was always really tight for my dad and I. He did the best he could, but we went hungry sometimes. I guess I just like knowing that I’m helping people who really need it.”

I don’t even have words to express how much what Asher just said touched my soul. So instead I reach out and thread my fingers through his. His gaze remains trained on my face for several seconds before he clears his throat and pulls his hand back.

“Come on, don’t get all mushy on me now Angel,” He jokes before pulling me in for a brief hug.

Asher may be too ‘advanced’ for me, but the more I get to know him, the more I’m desperate for a ride.

  Asher

Wednesday afternoon I’m mindlessly flipping through TV channels when there’s a knock at the door. As I pull it open and I look dumbly at the empty doorstep. It takes me a minute to see something lying a few feet down the walk. When I reach it I look down with confusion at the water gun laying on the sidewalk in front of my house. I bend down to pick it up and as soon as I do I feel a blast of cold water on the back of my head. I spin around to see Eve standing there with a playful grin and her own water gun pointed right at me.

“Are you looking for a fight?” I pump my water gun up with a grin. “Cause if so, you’re going to get one.”

“Bring it on...bitch.” She squirts me again this time in the face before taking off into the wooded area beside my house.

I look down, realizing I’m not wearing shoes. I sprint back into the house and slip my shoes on before running after her.

Thirty minutes later we’re laying on the lawn soaking wet and exhausted. I’m doing my best not to notice how her wet shirt clings to her body in a sinfully inviting way. But, my brain won’t stop replaying an image of peeling her soaked clothes off and burying my face between her tits. My cock throbs at the idea. Maybe it’s just been too damn long since I’ve gotten laid. But, the thought of fucking some chick that I’ll never see again just makes me cringe at this point.

“Thanks for playing with me, I saw the water guns at the store and I couldn’t think of anyone better to have a water fight with than you.”

Well thank the universe for that, I certainly wouldn’t have wanted anyone else seeing her hot little body all wet like this. Although, for all I know her church group boyfriend has already seen a lot more than this. The thought makes me almost see red.

“What about the boyfriend?” I say bitterly before I can stop myself.

She lets out a derisive laugh.

“There is no way he would want to play water guns with me. For one, he probably would have said that we should be praying or something instead of playing. And, for two I think my wet clothes are a bit lacking in modesty so I probably would’ve gotten a lecture about bringing glory to god by not causing men to have lustful thoughts.”

My mouth drops open at her explanation.

“What?” I ask, trying not to laugh.

“On our second date I wore a dress that showed off the goods a bit. He didn’t like how ‘immodest’ it was,” She explains with a laugh.

“Well you certainly won’t hear any complaints from me. In fact, I’m quite enjoying your ‘immodest’ attire at the moment.” I look her up and down in an exaggerated way.

She smacks me playfully and heaves herself off of the ground.

“I should’ve brought a change of clothes so that we could hang out. But, now I’m going to have to go home and get changed.”

&n
bsp; “No way, I can give you something to throw on and we can put your clothes in the dryer,” I insist, standing up as well.

I’m greedy for my time with Eve. Not to mention, I may be a masochist, but I suddenly absolutely have to see her in my clothes.

“Okay,” She agrees, following me into the house.

We drip on the floor from the front door to my bedroom but I don’t really give a shit, life’s too short. I pull open my dresser drawer and grab a t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants and hand them to her. She takes them and disappears into my bathroom to get changed. I change into dry clothes and then wait for her.

When she steps out of the bathroom I’m convinced that I must be a masochist after all, because seeing her in my t-shirt and baggy sweatpants is the hottest damn thing I’ve seen in my entire life. I try to discreetly adjust my pants to hide my massive hard-on.

“Thanks,” She says with a blush as she hands me her wet clothes to put in the dryer.

We make ourselves comfortable on the couch and I put on Netflix.

Eve learns forward and picks up the book resting on my coffee table and examines it. A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking.

“Are you reading this for a class?” She asks.

“No, it’s just out for light reading here and there. Honestly I’m pretty much always reading it.”

  “For fun?”

I chuckle at the surprise in her tone. Then her eyes roam over me in disbelief.

“What?” I challenge with a grin, tugging my lip ring between my teeth.

“I can’t understand how someone who looks like that,” She gestures to my body and then to my face, “Can also be such a nerd.”

“Are you trying to say you think I’m hot?”

Eve’s cheeks flame crimson and it takes every ounce of self control I have not to kiss the fuck out of her.

“No, I was calling you a nerd you egotistical butthead.”
